How to dial it in

• Water level: set the downstem about 20 mm under water for a balanced draw. For a tighter pull, raise the water slightly. See our quick water-level guide.
• Heat: start with 2 × 26 mm cubes on an HMD (or foil), then add a 3rd after 5–7 min if you want more body.
• Purge: slow, full purge clears the vase cleanly via the vertical ports.

• Harsh taste: Ease heat — lift HMD lid 10–15 sec or edge coals; add fresh air with a partial purge.
• Thin clouds: Fully light coals; add a 3rd 26 mm cube after 5 min; check seals at hose and base.
• Water splash: Lower the water level by 5–10 mm; purge more slowly.
