It’s a heavy porcelain-stoneware piece that’s double-fired and milk-sealed, so it spreads heat evenly and holds it longer. You pack about 22–25 g of flavour across the flat, multi-hole bed. Run it with foil and an AOT Provost, or drop on a Kaloud-style HMD for smooth, steady heat and long sessions with fewer harsh spikes.

How to dial it in

• Provost + foil: Level, fluffy pack to the rim; heavy-duty foil drum-tight; start 2 × 26 mm cubes, add a 3rd after 5–7 minutes if flavour is soft.
• Kaloud-style HMD: Pack just below the rim (medium-dense); pre-heat the HMD; begin with 2 cubes, vents closed for the first few minutes, then crack them open.
• Coal care: Rotate every 6–8 minutes; short lid lifts (10–15 s) clear hot spots; ash coals before re-seating.

Craft & performance

The bowl’s weight gives an open, responsive draw with a forgiving heat curve. Once warmed, it delivers a long flavour window and resists sudden harshness when you manage airflow and coal spacing.

Care & upkeep

• Rinse with warm water after each session; avoid harsh detergents to preserve the milk seal.
